Written by Gelett Burgess more than 100 years ago, Goops And How To Be Them has been a staple of family libraries for generations. His witty sense of humor, and talented artistic abilities bring to life creatures known for their naughty behavior. As children learn by example, the Goops teach children how NOT to act.
Filled with 96 pages of whimsical illustrations and happy rhyme, Barbara Ross' and Nicholas Beatty re-introduced version of the classic children's book is nothing short of a miracle in that she strayed very little from the book's original formatting. The line drawings in the book were indeed drawn by Burgess' very hands, and Ms. Ross can attest to hundreds of hours of painstaking work in cleaning her 100 year old family edition of Goops in order to reprint.
Goops Unlimited offers two distinctly unique versions of Burgess' classic Goops. Our 2005 release, A Treasury of Goops, highlights our favorite rhymes and illustrations and presents them in a very playful, and vibrant watercolor format. |
