Laurie Eichorst is a product of the Pacific Northwest, and claims the rainy winters prompted her to delve into her inner-most creativity as a child. For as long as she can remember, Laurie has been writing stories
about fairies, princesses, and anything else
that came to mind.
Laurie was fortunate enough to meet and collaborate with Betty Dean, a Portland area illustrator specializing in watercolor illustrations. As a team, the two have created two books for children, "The Silk Fairy," and, "The Frozen Princess." The Frozen Princess is set to be released in Spring 2011.
Laurie loves children and the possibility they represent. She hopes to one day have children of her own, and until then she revels in the thought she is helping young ones by providing wholesome and creative literature. A champion of children's literacy, Laurie has organized regional book drives providing children's books for local shelters.
The Frozen Princess is Laurie's first book with Goops Unlimited, and she is brimming with ideas for future releases. Keep an eye out for this rising star.
