For eligibility all contest rules must be observed

• Contestants must be a parent/child, or educator/student, or mentor/mentored child partnership.
• Contestants may enter only one recipe as a partnership.
• All entries must be signed by a parent or guardian and if entry prepared as part of a class experience, a teacher.
• A color photograph of the finished (prepared) recipe must be included. (Must be an actual photo that can be posted online, not a computer paper image.)
• 1-2 sentence statement as to why you like this recipe is required with all submissions.
• Recipe must be an item that is baked.

Recipe Guidelines

The recipe must:

• List ingredients and quantities, followed by the steps in the preparation process in numerical order
• Be an item that is baked.
• Be original or revised recipe. Plagiarized recipes will not be accepted. If submitting a revised recipe, you must include where the original recipe came from, and its title. For example: Lemon Squares, HomeBaking.org

Entry

Along with the recipe, photograph, and 1-2 sentence statement, the submission must include the following information:

Name, address, and telephone number of each contestant. (Adult and child)

Judging Criteria: 

All entries will be judged on the following:

• Recipe originality and creativity
• If this is an easy recipe for children to engage in    
• Presentation and appearance portrayed in photo
• Originality in statement
  

Cool Prizes

• Your recipe card will be included with all copies of the children's baking book, Baking with Friends: Recipes, Tips, and Fun Facts for Teaching Kids to Bake the first year of its publication

Winners Announced

Winners will be notified by June 15, 2010.
